K32-Basic Pocket Beagle Controller Cap by Kulp Lights
The K32-Basic by Kulp Lights is the entry level version of the K32v2 family. This second revision is a cape for the PocketBeagle v2 and is designed to drive WS281x LED pixels. It has 32 × local ports that can each drive up to 800 pixels at 40 fps or up to 1,200 pixels at 20 fps. Utilizing the four RJ45 differential ports, you can output an additional 16 - 96* strings via differential receivers. There is an additional RJ45 RS485 output for DMX, PixelNet, Renard, or LOR.
As with any of the controllers in the K32v2 family, the K32-Basic has a Real Time Clock (RTC) to maintain time, a temperature sensor, input voltage sensors, an OLED display with navigation push buttons, and a Gigabit Ethernet port (wired via USB2 so roughly 300Mb/s speed). Unlike the K32-Max and K32-Pro, there is a single powered USB port.
NOTE: The USB port on the K32-Basic is wired incorrectly. A special USB extension cable will be included with the K32-Basic which corrects the wiring.
Each controller in the K32v2 family requires a PocketBeagle v2. The K32v2 family will not work with a first generation PocketBeagle
*Anything past the first 16 ports requires a smart receiver capable of daisy chaining.
