Configuration of a Colorlight Card for Outdoor P5 Panels
Colorlight Config for Outdoor P5 Panels
This is a step by step guide that will show you how to configure a Colorlight card to control a set of Wired Watts Outdoor P5 panels.
Plug your Colorlight card directly into your NIC without anything in between such as a switch.
Download and install LEDvision 7.0, not 5.0 and not 6.8 or 6.9. Use This Link to get the software.
Click Control > Screen Size and Count Settings.
Set the width and height in pixels. The x and y do not matter. Press "Apply."
Click Control > LED Screen Settings (password 168)
On the first tab, select your network card and press "Detect Receiver Cards."
If you get something in the window below, great, if not, you need to troubleshoot this before moving on. Possibly look at step one again.
On the third tab, click on the box in the grey area and set the width and height of your matrix in pixels. Make sure the grey box updates with those numbers.
Press "Save to Devices" at the bottom of the screen.
On the center tab, click Load > Preset Parameters > General Parameters Full Color > 14 full color eight scan.
Set your width and height in the two white boxes to your matrix size in pixels. If it is out of range, fudge the numbers so they are in range, we will fix it later.
Click "Intelligent Module Settings."
Click on "Modify" to make the width and height 64x32, click the X next to the sideways pin above.
If your width and height on the main screen were out of range before, set it properly now even if it is out of range.
Click "Intelligent Setting" at the bottom.
Fill in the width as 64, press next, and next your way to guide 4 (in the title bar).
When you get to guide 4, switch the blue and green (if needed) and press next.
On Guide 5, set the number to 16, press next.
On Guide 6, set the number to two, press next.
On the final page, you should have a screen that is 64 cells wide by 16 cells tall. Start on line nine column one and drag your cursor across until the end. After this, do the same on line one. After that, click the first square on line 10, then 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16. This will fill out the grid. Press OK and finish.
On the main screen, the module size at the top should now read 64x16. Check your cabinet setting, if anything is in red, adjust the multiple down from refresh x16 to refresh x8. That should make your matrix come in range if it was out.
Press "Save to Receivers."
